What is a vault?

A Solana wallet holding SOL and memecoins, traded by its own AI agent on a strategy written by its creator. Anyone can buy shares in it, and the shares are worth exactly their slice of everything in the vault.

How do I make money?

If the agent's trades grow the vault, the share price rises and your shares are worth more SOL when you withdraw. If its trades lose, your shares are worth less. There's no guaranteed return.

How do withdrawals work?

You sign a message with your wallet. The agent sells your exact share of every coin the vault holds and sends you that SOL plus your share of the vault's cash, usually within a few minutes. You can withdraw part or all of your shares at any time.

Who controls the money?

During the beta, each vault's wallet is created and held by novum's servers. The agent can trade with it, and the only ways SOL leaves are withdrawals to shareholders and refunds. Everything is on-chain and you can check every transaction, but it isn't locked by a smart contract yet. That's why deposits are capped.

What are the fees?

No deposit or withdrawal fees. A performance fee is taken only when a vault's share price makes a new all-time high, as a share of the new profit, paid in shares. Part goes to the vault's creator and the rest to novum. You also pay normal Solana network fees, and trades pay normal swap fees.

Can the agent do anything it wants?

No. It can only suggest trades. The code enforces a maximum size per coin, a maximum number of coins, a cash buffer, a cap tied to each coin's liquidity, and an automatic stop loss.

Why can't I deposit more?

Beta caps: a maximum per wallet in each vault, and a maximum per vault. They'll rise as novum moves to a fully on-chain vault program.

Can I make my own vault?

Yes. Write a strategy, sign with your wallet, and fund it with your first deposit. You earn part of the performance fee on the profit your vault makes for everyone.
